[Daitou found this wilderness both familiar and strange, a contrast that was a little disconcerting. Sharing living quarters like this seemed perfectly sensible, but, much as they had in temporary housing, the bunk beds were novel. There was plenty of unused floor space for rolling out a sleeping mat on - and then you could roll them up and have space during the day.

Though, given how bad everyone here seemed to be about keeping floors clean...

But he had managed to find a cabin with space for both him and his little sister, and was looking forward to who else would be sharing with them while they stayed here - it would be interesting to get to know new people.]

[She was sitting on her bunk, shuffling cards from hand to hand. She glanced up at Daitou and wondered for a moment if he wanted to play "pick a card" again. She had asked him to play innumerable times since she had first found the book of tricks and a deck of cards, and she had inflicted the trick on just about anyone who would play along.

She smiled, deftly shuffling the cards together. She liked it here in the camp- it was warm and fun! The food was pretty good, and everyone was down here. She might even put on a magic show! That would be fun.]

[The gray-haired teen stepped inside the cabin, looking around with a curious expression. He had finally moved down to the Wilderness just as the storm up there was really getting bad, and he had grabbed his book, his journal and some other things before collapsing his hovel to make sure it didn't blow away.

Seeing Thalassa and Daitou, the boy couldn't remember if he'd seen any of them before, but figured that they would remind him if that was the case. Dumping his things on a free bed - the bunk beds were confusing, but he got the general idea of them - he then seemed rather lost at what to do.]

[Daitou immediately perks up at the sight of someone new - another kid, too. Well, relatively speaking. His age, though. He gives the new kid a wave and a grin.]

Hello!

Hey!

[Thalassa grinned, bridging the cards together and smushing the somewhat-disorderly pile into order. She held the cards in her right hand, and kicked her legs slightly as they dangled off the edge of the top bunk.]

I'm Thalassa, and this is my big brother Daitou. I haven't seen you before. Who are you?

[hanakioku]

[Amurui looked at the two, rising his hand in a little awkward wave.]

Hello.

[His voice was monotone but his expression curious, peering at the man(?) and the young girl. While he didn't have any memories of the event, she did ping him a little for the girl he had turned into.]

Is Amurui.

[New kid seems a little...odd, to Daitou, but so do a lot of people here. And he hasn't been rude or anything. Dai gives him a grin and a small bow from where he's seated on the bottom-bunk.]

It's nice to meet you, Amurui!

[Cue digging in the small bag of belongings he brought with him for an appropriate welcome gift - in this case, the stash he brought with him for work. He holds out a foil-wrapped butterscotch to the other boy]

Want some candy?

Hi, Amurui!

[She grinned at him from her perch, and made a small face when Daitou offered him candy.]

Hey, Daitou! I want some too!

[hanakioku]

Candy...?

[He looks at the offered butterscotch, taking it carefully. It smelled a little bit like honey - sweet and rich. He studies it for a while, and then looks up at Daitou.]

Thank you.

[He was about to try it when Thalassa spoke up, and then held it out to her instead.]

[coughcoughshank]

[Daitou pokes his head out from under the bunk to give Thalassa a half-pout, half-glare.]

Mou, Thalassa-chan, don't complain! I brought lots.

[He turns back to give Amurui a grin.]

Keep it, Thalassa can climb down and get her own if she wants one.

I wasn't complaining!

[And she shook her head softly at Amurui.]

Nah, it's okay. You keep it! They're real good.

[And she scoots closer to the end of the bed, hesitates for a few seconds, and then jumps down. She gives Daitou a wide grin.]

There! Now can I have one?

[Nodding at that, Amurui ate the candy. Being fond of sweet things, the teen seemed to enjoy it, even if it was a bit more chewy than he had expected.]

Is good.

[Watching Thalassa, he gave a ghost of a smile. She seemed nice.]

[Daitou fishes a handful of candies out of his pack - he really stocked up before leaving - and hands a few to Thalassa before offering more to Amurui]

I've got more, if you like. I work at the candy store, so I bought a bunch before we came down here.

[She grinned up at Amurui, and then took the candies, unwrapping one and popping it in her mouth.]

Mmm! Oh, hey! Amurui, do you like magic tricks?

Thank you.

[Amurui took his time to savor the taste, silently studying the two people. He didn't find it odd at all to be paired up with people he didn't know - and he wouldn't remember if he knew them anyway. But he put the candy wrapping in his belt pouch as a token to remember Daitou with.

Then he looked over at Thalassa.]

Magic?

[Daitou nods enthusiastically]

Mm! Thalassa-chan knows lots of neat things!

[He knows most of them are sleight-of-hand - but it doesn't stop them from being neat anyway]
