Summary: Ice and Smoke arrive in Edensphere, and someone is there to greet them.

The brunette was sitting at the table in the midst of the white room, though she was less jittery than usual. The last time she greeted someone, it went so much better than the time before that, and it gave her renewed confidence. She had already prepared at least four bundles with the usual provisions so that she'd be ready if and when a cocoon (or four) hatched.
If there was something that made the job unnerving, it was the silence. The room was so incredibly quiet save for the occasional cocoon wriggle... And there really wasn't much to do aside from wait for someone to hatch. Then, of course, it was always a wonder and surprise as to what kind of person (or creature) was going to hatch--she had heard that some greeted rather inhuman or otherwise strange creatures. She was usually really tense in fear of having to greet anyone really mean or demanding... like that other time months ago. But so far, no repeats, at least.
At last, she heard something moving--moving a lot more than usual. She got to her feet and grabbed at least one bundle but waited. Her legs were shaking, and she kept telling herself, It's okay, it's okay... Don't be afraid, don't be scared now... But for the most part, she remained frozen in place, eyes sweeping over the cocoons in search of whichever one was going to hatch.
Okay, whichever one or two were going to hatch...
