Chief's body locked up completely at Crystal's gesture. It was harmless and a bit random. But the warmth, the crackling in the back of his head as his mind tried to access something it could not. It was frustrating.
"Am I?" he managed to say though his tone sounded a bit distant. When she told him that she didn't know anyone, he frowned deeply. She didn't have a roommate or anything of the sort? OH dear. Don't tell him she was born alone.
That was when another emotion without explanation bubbled up from the depths of his being.
"In that case I can take you to the evacuation zone if you'd like" the words were out before he could even consider how natural they came out.

"Are you... are you living here?" she asked curiously, before they started walking again.

He blinked at the question as it brought him out of contemplation. Good they were walking again. This time in the right direction.
"If you mean if i lived in the area then yes I have been here for a short while. But I am a fairly new arrival to this place myself." Chief answered with a small smile as he held one arm behind the girl's back. Again something his body did on its own.

"I hope you know where we are going." she said with a small chuckle as they were walking. Her shoulder-length hair was waving madly because of the wind, making it hard to look in front of her harder. She wondered if he did have a home or a place to go but since he was new, there was no way for that, right?

"I do. There is an evacuation camp in the Wilderness level. Everyone headed to the elevator and that is where we are going as well. Though we may have to hurry a bit" Chief tossed a concerned gaze behind him out of the corner of his eye. Those clouds looked ready to let loose on the city soon.

"Oh well, I don't know anything about this place yet so, I hope I won't be a burden to you." she said. She was a bit embarrassed about her state and she just hoped that she didn't trouble him too much. She even wondered why he was dragging her along with him, without expecting anything from her. The even more strange thing was, her following him around.

Still all that was on his mind was to get himself and Crystal to the evacuation camp. For some reason he even felt he could force his way through. But the impulse was small and in the back of his head. But it WAS there.
Reply
It was same, being next to Chief. He was there to protect her, she could feel it. She didn't even feel the need to ask why. She didn't even need to think.

Chief's eyes widened as he felt his arm held like that. That feeling in the back of his head seemed to spike violently telling him this this state of things was utterly natural and desired.
"Fast as the wind then" Chief said almost as cheerfully. Though that wording did ping his mind again though it was fainter than the whole arm holding thing.
