Summary: Gurren's picked a fight. Again. Honestly, it's not his fault, these things just keep happening.

The last time he recalled speaking with Toushi -only once, if his memory wasn't failing him on the events passed in Edensphere- he'd seemed perfectly reasonable. Which, in Gurren's opinion, tended to be vaguely boring, but he'd also shown some of that determination and powerful will that Gurren admired so he was okay in the books. He hadn't seemed the type to be an asshole on a whim; in fact, he'd been one of the more understanding and mellow persons Gurren had met thus far.
So what was the deal with this sudden aggression?
Gurren didn't bother to give it a lot of thought in the end; that really wasn't his style. All he knew is that Toushi -or not Toushi, as he'd made perfectly clear previously- had challenged him. This could obviously only be settled with a fight, one Gurren was perfectly all right with providing. Granted, he hadn't done so well against that little furry bastard Trust roughly a week ago (he was still sporting bruises and scratches), but that was beside the point. Practice made perfect! And a man never runs from a fight, so Gurren contented himself with sitting in an open, high-traffic area, waiting for Not!Toushi to show up. They'd never specified a specific meeting place, however, but at least this one wasn't very far.
