Characters: Kagami and Nova~ Date/Time: August 8, Afternoon Location: Tokyo Wilderness, random temple Rating: PG Summary: (Kagami might as well be amassing an army of little girls at this point, seriously gaiz.)
Tokyo, she had discovered, was not all a sprawling metropolis of towering constructions and malls and restaurants. There were places of great natural beauty and silence; places to get away from what should have been crowded and sprawling streets
( ... )
He was wearing a blue yukata today, a simple black haori over that. Sandals on his feet, he was enjoying the calm of the place. He liked calm, tranquility. It reminded him of his dream, of being in the boat, looking at the reflection of the moon. He noticed the girl, like one might notice a stone thrown into a pond. Something disrupting the calm, despite her quiet reverence of the place. He sighed, letting the smile slip onto his face, and he pushed the glasses up his nose.
Appearances must be kept, after all.
He smiled, raising a hand to wave at her, and stepped closer to her.
Happily unaware of his thoughts, Nova approached Kagami and shook her head. "I don't think we have. I'm Nova." Her posture and expression were full of cheer and energy, but her voice remained subdued in deference to the tranquil air of the temple.
Her hair fluttered around her shoulders in the light breeze since she hadn't braided it today, and she shook her head to brush away a few stray strands that had fallen into her face. Kagami smiled down at her and she felt a twinge of nostalgia tugging at her mind.
She didn't know why, but this man just reminded her of someone. Her smile didn't fade as she considered who it might have been.
Something about her reminded him of another helplessly cheerful girl- Asuka. Perhaps this one would be of use, as well? There was only one way to find out.
"I'm Kagami." He smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Nova."
It was warm, and the light breeze cooled his skin. There were cicadas in the distance, humming to themselves against the trees at this shrine, and the sound of water was not far off. It was peaceful here, tranquil, and he let that smile settle onto his face.
