[OPEN] The First Annual Charm-Off
Characters: Christopher/Argent (twoninths), Dean/McQueen (crossroaddeal), and OPEN to all

Summary: McQueen and Argent decide to hold a contest to see which one of them really is the more charming.

Once he and McQueen had finally settled on a date, Argent had gone about preparing a number of posters and hanging them about the Marketplace and the elevator doors. Most of them looked identical, sheets ripped out of one of his non-magical notebooks, and his spiky cursive declaring:
TO ALL LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF EDENSPHERE
At Noon on this August, the 4th,
a Charm-Off shall be taking place between
Myself (Argent) and Mr. McQueen
For a small donation, you may help us decide who
Once and for all
is the more charming

After this small nod to advertising had been taken care of, Argent had taken steps to gather the necessary supplies: two jars with little labels affixed to them, one labelled "Argent" and the other "McQueen." These would be the way of measuring the winner; once adequately charmed by one of them, the chamee would place his or her donation into the jar of the preferred charmer. At the end of the day they would run a tally and, as he had said when they'd first discussed the idea, may the best man win.
Once this was all arranged, it was only a matter of showing up, which he did, promptly at 11:45. McQueen straggled in a little later, and they exchanged some rudimentary banter, McQueen using the word "dude" a lot, and Argent trying not to show his amusement overly much. They looked an odd pair, he suspected, loitering in the market and sniping at each other. And neither doing much to conceal the fact that they were anxious for their first test subject to arrive.
