Suddenly on full alert, he swung out of bed, rolled across the floor and grabbed at the loaded crossbow he kept hidden behind it for emergencies. How did they get in? He had traps for this sort of thing. Knowing his luck, they were creatures that had followed him back from that hellhole of a Wilderness and would come up with big pointy nails or teeth or something like that.
He pointed the crossbow straight at them, the lines in his face set in stone and a scowl upon his face before barking, "Who the hell are you, and why are you in my bed?"

One moment, the straight day of tireless searching in the Wilderness- as well as the frantic escape from one of those armor-husk-things- bid him grant himself but a moment's peace to close his eyes and scan himself for errors. But before one could say "Windows Vista," he awoke from hibernation again in a strange, unfamiliar place... thankfully, this one wasn't silent hill.
Unfortunately, Stoneface's bed wasn't that much better. Zero groaned, sitting upright and resting a chin in a palm almost indignantly. "Your guess is as good as mine. I'm Zero... I'm with the adventurers."
Ugh. Even worse, it was getting crowded beneath these sheets. "First time the wilderness has even spat me out."

Unfortunately for him, it happened anyways.
Hearing someone shout snapped him out of his sleep and he slowly sat up, blinking when he noticed some random guy sitting next to him in bed. ......What was going on? He has never seen him before, but this entire area looked unfamiliar to him. Lance looked ahead and noticed another male, except he was standing up with a crossbow pointing at him.
".....I was originally at my own residence, I did not arrive here on my own or by will." He figured that he should explain something at least. "I'm Scavenger Lance, though I was just recently recruited."

"One of the Sphere's tricks then, eh?" He raised a brow. "You'll want to be getting out of my bed mighty quick. It's pretty manky. I'd just gotten out of the Wilderness too."
He paused, then decided to introduce himself. "I'm Stoneface. Captain of the Watch."

Wait. Helmet?
Glancing upwards, a fingertip tapped the side with a hollow metallic ring. That same finger swept over a crest, brushed past his ear on the lower edge... yes, helmet, but this wasn't anything he could ever remember wearing. Or, for that matter, anything he'd let himself wear. Unfortunately, after a bit of tugging, it appeared to be stuck.
Didn't matter. He'd just change at home... he could head back down to the wilderness afterward. Maybe with Locket this time. He gave one last curt, plainly irritated wave. "Now that the Sphere's had its fun, I'll be going. I don't have much time to waste." He was quick to walk out the door, run out of the house...
And quicker to rise again from Stoneface's bed, standing exactly as he had before. Another groan as he leaned against the wall. "What is it this time..."

He looked over to Zero, noticing that he was fiddling with the helmet that's on his head. He hasn't seen something like it before, but it's not his business to question it.
Lance watched as Zero walked out and was about to follow suit when the man reappeared on the bed. "...You were brought back without warning again?"

He rubbed at his cheek, then set down the crossbow. "Do you two feel anything different?"
[ooc: their uniform will look something like this! They may find their clothing suddenly changed anytime from now to an hour from now. It is composed of chainmail, breastplate and helmet, but you may also add on anything sufficiently policeman-y, as well as the addition of a sword and a truncheon. ALSO please direct your here, just so you know what's happening.]

Zero idly lifted a leg, glancing down. His usual conspicuous metal boots were nowhere to be seen, replaced by something much... cheaper-looking. "Yeah. Light-footed, but that's about it."
Ugh. He felt his heart sink just speaking the L-word. He gave his foot a light stomp. "...And you need to sweep."

"I don't feel anything different as of yet." After what happened last time, he didn't want to be in any new clothes or be altered in any other way.

Behind him, Nobby (whose smell actually seemed pleasant in comparison to the bedsheets) gave one mildly-ferocious bark, decided that his doggy duty was done and promptly hid behind Stoneface's legs.
"All right, let's test this out. Time to see how far we can separate before being magicked back over here. Don't move." He paused, thinking about the paperwork that surrounded his desk, then added, "And don't touch anything."
He picked up a shirt, slid it on, and walked a couple blocks before--
Well, there was their answer. He hardly jumped as the other two suddenly appeared behind him and turned around to face them. "Well, there we are," he said. "Time to figure out what to do about it."
