Summary: Rise decides to go explore the Wilderness for himself.

The venture almost seemed pointless. Learning too much about yourself could be a cause of death? What was wrong with this place? Nevertheless, even if he could only learn a hint about his past, the trip wasn't completely worthless.
After writing a quick note in the journals, Rise locked up the house. He had his recently acquired sword on him (which still didn't feel right, but he'd take it over nothing) and also a bag slung over his shoulder with bare supplies, in case this took more than a day.
Entering the elevator, he descended to the Wilderness. Alert to his surroundings, Rise proceeded into the city. As the elevator grew increasingly distant behind him, he took hold of his sword by the hilt, though he left it sheathed.
