Summary: Apple lost a Mama and Eyepatch lost his two close friends. They share a moment as they wait for an uncertain future.

The past few days had passed in a daze for Apple. On the day of the attack Bastet had dropped the poor boy off with Amurui in the park and the child hadn't really left the place ever since. He had managed to get coaxed back to Cara's to sleep at night but every morning, Apple drifted back to the Park to be with his friend. Without Moon, his daily routine felt meaningless and nobody really knew enough about children and grief to try and force him to resume any resemblance of normality. Besides that Apple found Amurui's steady presence comforting. He loved Bastet and Cara but he'd already lost them once. Now he lost Moon. He wasn't sure of anything anymore, everything felt unhinged, loose and at the mercy of the wind.
There as also something about being outdoors that felt right. Safe. The farm had given him time off and someone was caring for the animals at the shelter. So he was just...drifting.
And waiting.
