Open stalls. It had to be open stalls.

He couldn't stand it, having his clothes off with so many people around. He didn't like it, he didn't feel safe, and he would wait.

So he did.

Burn waited until the middle of the night, when everyone else was gone from the showers, and then got in a quick splashdown. The water was hot, at least, and this time he didn't get quite so much soap in his eyes. His first forays bathing himself had been less than inspired.

Of course, when he got out of the shower... he realized he'd left the clothes in the room.

Bugger.

Burn slung a towel around his waist and hurried back to the rooms, clicking the door shut behind him, still dripping wet. Holding the towel in place, he took out his bag, set it on his bed, and rifled through it as quietly as possible.

The room was dead silent, no form of white noise at all. So, of course, the click of the door, the shuffling of feet and the louder shuffling of items in a bag roused him from his half-slumber.

Magi turned his head, blinking owlishly in the dim light, trying to make out who it was in his-- oh. Right. It was Burn. Slowly, he pulled himself up into a sitting position, fishing for his glasses under his pillow.

"... Burn?"

Oh, Bugger.

Burn fought down the burst of panic and quickly reached up to haphazardly pull the patch over his eye before looking back over his shoulder. It was light enough to see Magi's face in the gloom.

"I just came back from the baths, go back to sleep." It was a whisper, a huff, before he dug into the bag again, holding the towel in place more firmly around his waist.

"Oh."

But, therein lay the problem. He hadn't actually really been asleep. Rubbing his eyes a little, Magi set his glasses on his nose, adjusting them until they sat right. He really needed to have them adjusted.

"Are you looking for something? Here, let me turn on the light for you." And he leaned over, reaching for the small lamp, pressing in on the switch and bathing the tiny room in a pale yellow light.
