And his new roommate was... eccentric. (Usually) charmingly so. They hadn't had much of a chance to talk, but it was hard to miss just how... quirky Arthur was.
Still, he jumped a little at the face looming over him, blinking in stunned silence as the other man rambled. A drowsy 'what?' formed in his brain as he sat up, but he chose not to interrupt. Maybe he should have. Light waited a few seconds to make sure Arthur was finished, sharing his best attempt not to look completely dumbfounded (and failing).
"I... Good morning to you too, Arthur," More silence-- the implications go right over Light's head so he talks very matter-of-factly while running a hand through his hair. "I think it depends; we ( ... )

"I guess that makes sense. Having metallic skin everywhere would probably...well...chafe if you didn't have enough lubricant. Or worse, scrape and scratch. That would suck," Arthur said, nodding his head in understanding. [ooc: He's talking about metallic joints needing oil. Really. >_>]
"So, you guys were made to be as human-like as possible, right? Just how...detailed are we talking here?" Arthur asked with a conspiratorial raise of an eyebrow.

He raises a hand up, moving his fingers to show the 'seams' where more complicated structures and joints meet. "Physically there's a few differences, but I think we were created to be as similar to whatever we're modeled after as possible. Makes integration easier."

"So, Integration? With humans, you mean? So robots and humans are...compatible then?" Arthur asked, sitting a little straighter. Asking Light about this stuff had been a good choice after all!

"Admittedly, I don't have much experience with humans, but... there's no reason organics and synthetics can't live in peace together."
