By now, Sky was starting to get the hang of the ice skates. Almost. He still fell down and bumped into people, but at least it was becoming less and less often, and he was glad to at least still be able to do his duty somewhat.
He found the ice storm equal parts annoying and fascinating. For whatever reason, the idea of such a thing seemed strange to him... perhaps he'd lived in a place that just didn't get ice storms all that often, if at all. The tree did look beautiful, as though it had been dipped in liquid glass, which helped temper some of the inconvenience it had caused.
Either way, though, he was still glad to be rid of the skates once he was inside the Hall of Beginnings, and as usual, he was transformed as he watched the cocoons, practicing his sword forms. The Guide on duty had fallen ill from the unexpected cold, and a replacement had yet to show up, so he was alone.
Sky smiled to himself as he thought of later, when he'd be off-duty... perhaps snuggled in bed with Inara, keeping her warm...
Then he heard a cocoon stir. Of course, it was just his luck- and the poor newborns', come to think of it. At least Lotus had seemed upbeat about his arrival during the nasty weather, but someone else might not be so receptive. Changing back to normal, he went to grab a newbown packet, before noticing another one wriggling. Twins. Naturally. Taking up another package, he went to wait.
