Castor stepped into the weapons shop a little bit after it opened, glancing around for a second. Despite people talking about it, mentioning that it was there, that Cara was the girl who owned it, he had never made a point to visit the shop until now. His eyes moved over the arrays of weaponry- bladed things, blunter objects, and even some shit he could hardly figure out how it would even work. At least there was no lack of variety.

Finally he spotted the firearms, lifting a hand to signal the girl there. "...Cara, right?" Why the hell was she so young? Unless this was just some random chick who worked there, rather than the owner. Still, he couldn't judge her for her age, and his hands returned to his coat pockets as he spoke.

"Know much 'bout handguns?" It was a weapon shop, it was a perfectly legitimate question, right? Not that he really knew why most people would get a gun here, aside from hunting wild animals or monsters in the scrapyard and wilderness. And hell, he went to the scrap yard often enough. Buying a gun was totally ( ... )

Cara watched the young man who walked in--he looked as though he was a few years older than her, but still a teenager. That didn't get any raised eyebrows, though; it wouldn't make much sense to find someone else young.

"They aren't my first weapon of choice, but I know enough about them," she said at his question, giving him a friendly smile. She had learned how to use one in Edensphere, but she had preferred to leave most of that to Gundam, who'd been much more comfortable with them... nowadays to Crochet and Aim. She really didn't feel comfortable with using one herself.

"So what's your name?" she asked--Cara tried to make sure she didn't sell to anyone who was obviously dangerous. And to anyone who didn't know what they're doing. "And I'm guessing you know how to use one, right?"

"Castor. We talked on the journals a bit." About hot chocolate falling from the sky and shit, which in hindsight was a really weird first conversation to have. "And yeah. Used one in my memory and dream."

The trick would be finding one similar feeling. If he had seen it in any of his recollections, that would be one thing, but for now he'd have to go entirely off weight and feel. "What sort've weapon do you use, then?"

He had heard of most people opting for swords and the like-- which made sense. Sort of. Maybe? They weren't as efficient as guns, and were harder to wield... but he had used a battle axe for combat in his memory and a gun for shooting himself, so he was probably in absolutely no place to judge. As he waited for Cara to respond, he stepped over to one of the displays, glancing at the ones available.

As Arthur stepped through the door of the weapon shop, he was momentarily overcome with sensory overload as he tried to look at everything at once. There was SO MUCH STUFF! He had been excited about coming to the weapon shop ever since spending some time at the shooting range with Grift, but he never expected it to be like this.

He spent several minutes looking around the store before realizing that he needed to talk to someone if he wanted to get anything. Looking quickly around, he noticed a young girl behind the counter. A very familiar looking girl.

"Cara!" Arthur exclaimed. "I almost didn't recognize you without the fairy wings! How've you been? You run the weapon shop? That's awesome!"

"Oh! All right, then," said Cara. "And... I don't really use guns that much," she admitted. "I prefer to stick with spears and swords. But if something looks familiar, or right, you can go ahead and pick it up. Just don't try and test it inside." She grinned saying that, but in honesty Cara didn't like guns very much at all. She just didn't feel quite safe around them... as opposed to things like swords and sharpened playing cards and spiked frying pans, which of course were no cause for alarm at all--she was aware how silly it was, but couldn't quite shake it ( ... )
