Summary: Cara goes to keep Skulls company (IM log)
Cara: [Knocks on Skulls' door with a thermos of cocoa. Because that's always good for things like this.]
Skulls: [Skulls is lying on his bed, no hat, no shirt (screw the cold) and just his sweats.] C'min.
Cara: [Pushes the door open quietly... ah, um. Oh well.] Heya... what's up? [Pretty dumb to ask if he's okay, not that what she did ask is much better really.]
Skulls: [He tends to forget that Cara is NOT from his time. Besides, he's comfy. He finally gets up and sorta smiles at Cara, a bit sadly] Nuthin'. Thanks for comin', by th'way.
Cara: [She'll just... not mention it or something, although she does look around to see if he's got a shirt or sweatshirt on the floor she can toss his way.] Nah... it's rotten. You shouldn't have to deal with it alone.
Skulls: [Give him a minute or two, he'll realize it. But, hey, at least he's good looking?] I jus'....dammit, why'd he hafta get taken, Car? He was m'bro.
Cara: [She shakes her head and gets a couple of mugs to pour the cocoa into. She has her own theories about the disappearances, some of which she hopes aren't true] I really wish I could say... I... my friend Gundam is gone too. I'm not sure there's a way to explain it. Sometimes there just isn't.
Skulls: Ah man. Sorry, Car. [He follows her and wraps his arms around her tightly. He's gotten all the agression out; now he just needs a hug. And cocoa, but the hug first.]
Cara: [She hugs him back, awkwardness aside, and then puts a mug into his hands with a slight smile.] It's why now is important.
Skulls: [Ooo cocoa. Yay! He takes it, and wraps the other arm around Cara again. He wants to be as close as possible (and now that he's looking around he's hoping Cara doesn't realize the mess on the floor is from him losing it] S'stupid. If we get brought here, why don' we get t'stay, huh? Tree's just dat evil?
Cara: [She did notice the mess--she isn't sure whether it always looks like this or if it's a direct result of Vlad's vanishing. She won't ask, though... people have different ways of dealing with it and making a mess isn't the worse.] ...I don't know. It could be--maybe it's just random. We can hope that they're back where they're supposed to be, though.
Skulls: Yeah, but what if he don' 'member me, Car?
Cara: You remember him... that's still important. The people we care about are important whether we have memories of them or not.
Skulls: [He's silent, trying not to crush the mug in his hands. After a minute, he sets the mug down and pulls Cara into another tight hug, trying not to cry] Ain't right....goddamn tree....
Cara: [She quickly puts down the mug and hugs him back.] It's never easy, I know...
Skulls: [What's worse--and he won't tell Cara this--but the idea of having a sibling and them suddenly not knowing who you are seems familiar. And, damn, it hurts.] I gotta git outta this house, yo. Or get a roomie. One'a th'two
Cara: [She nods. Sometimes doing that sort of helps... having a roomie would definitely help.] You should ask on the journals. I'm sure someone in Edensphere is looking for a roomie.
Skulls: Pro'lly....[He looks around and lets go of Cara, finally] After I clean. [Embarassed neckrub]
Cara: [She smiles a little bit.] That might be a good idea. You should probably find a shirt somewhere too.
Skulls: .... [He looks between his chest and Cara a few times. And then starts flailing] BWAAAAH! Y-yo, man, Car, m'sorry! I shoulda got dressed--ow! [As he flailed, he'd been moving away, trying not to make it anymore awkard...and wound up tripping over his skateboard]
Cara: Whoa, careful! Are you okay? [She finds a sweatshirt among the stuff on the floor and offers it to him.] Don't worry about it.
Skulls: [He takes it and tugs it over his head, still on the ground. His tailbone hurts now, as does his pride] Maaaan....what kinda boyfriend am I? Place's a frickin' mess, m'shirtless, an' I'm being frickin' emo atcha.
Cara: [She takes a seat across from him.] Oh, come on... it's natural to be that way. That's what friends are for, to be with you when you feel alone like that.
Skulls: Yeah but...y'my girl, Car. Should treatcha better, y'know? [Chivlary. It is not dead!]
Cara: Don't worry about it, really. [Seriously, what's the point of having people close if you can't rely on them at times like this?]
Skulls: [Skulls just gives up and stands, looking around him at the mess] Uh....c'n y'help me here? Cleanin' ain't my strong point.
Cara: Yeah, no problem. [She starts picking things up, hoping that there isn't anything broken among the clutter.] You know... having a pet helps too.
Skulls: ...Pet? Like....a dog? [There's not---he cleaned all that up after he calmed down so he didn't get hurt]
Cara: Yeah. A dog a cat, something lke that. [Oh good. Probably a good thing she didn't see it anyway.]
Skulls: Nah, don' think I'd be a good owner. [He gestures around at the room, a pile of clothes in hand] See? Ain't safe f'r a pet.
Cara: Hm... well, maybe so. It was just a thought.
Skulls: Kinda like one, now dat y'mention it. Like a giant bee!
Cara: [Blinks. That... oh. She grins.] I dunno about a giant bee, but you can always befriend one of the stable animals, too!
Skulls: Whatcha got down there anyway? Chocobos an' what else?
Cara: Wolves and... griffins too. And horses and kodos--I've never seen those before.
Skulls: Komodo dragons?
Cara: No, it's... I don't know. It's big and it's got a horn on its nose.
Skulls: ...Huh. Sound awesome! What else, Car?
Cara: Well, that's it for the stables. But I like the chocobos best. [Smiles.] They're good listeners.
Skulls: Oh, yeah, y'like, talk to 'em, dontcha?
Cara: Uh-huh.
Skulls: Cool. [He just kind of stuffs all the clothes he's got back into the dresser, dirty or not.]
Cara: [She nods as she gets the last stuff off the floor, whether he wants to talk or just hang out quietly is fine with her.]
Skulls: [He goes to say something, but ends up just yawning] Aagh, sorry. Didn't sleep good last night. S'too quiet, y'know?
Skulls: Yeah... I know how that feels.
Skulls: [Another hug. Geez, he feels like they're the emo couple right now] Y'wanna stay f'r a bit? Might end up takin' a nap, but...
Cara: Yeah, sure. [She doesn't mind. It's better to be with him than knowing that he's on his own.]
