He sent the leaf flying away with a wave of his hand and a gust of wind, looking frantically around for the perpetrator. "Copper"? "Copper"? Who was that boy calling a copper?
... Not that he knew what exactly it meant, but it seemed to carry a horrible, insulting note to it. And still! He was disturbed in the worst way ever.
Instinct kicked in, and his eyes flashed as he took notice of his target. Someone in a motorcycle helmet. But he couldn't be fooled. He knew it was one of the "robbers". He was on the rooftops. If he wanted a rooftop chase, he would get a rooftop chase. Forget about all his previous musings and thoughts and whatever. This one? This one was Stigmata's.
He crouched down slightly, gaining momentum, and kicked off from the ground. He didn't learn how to outrun monsters made out of trash for nothing. Work in the Scavenger's Yard had more rewards than just random stuff.
This one was going down.

Night's tongue poked from between his lips in effort as he poured extra muscle power into his legs, increasing his speed. He figured he had plenty of time to sit and plot more mischief, but of course he HAD to pick the crazy-fast, scary guy! Stupid, stupid, stupid!
"The game is on, the game is on, but you're going to have to do better than that! Let's play Follow The Leader!" Night cried, a bluff, and sped across the first rope bridge. If he could just get lost in the Marketplace, he might be home free! That was his destination.

Truth to be told, he was saving this maneuver for an important time such as when he would have to go back to the Wilderness with his other teammates and they would have to make a quick getaway, but it maybe, possibly couldn't be helped.
Also, it was... kind of dangerous. Who knew how many piles of trash he had crashed into in the past because of practicing?
Oh well.
He waved a hand quickly once again, and the wind responded by picking up a small gust at his feet. It boosted his speed a good deal, but now, he wasn't sure how he could stop without smashing into something or missing his mark.

On the other side of the bridge, Night neatly leaped over a group of people meandering around, taking up space while passing the time through conversation. They yelped and ducked, wondering what their hurry was, looking back to see Stigmata steadily approaching. One pointed in Night's direction, with a "Hurry up and CATCH HIM" look. If this man was being chased, something might be up, right?

Speaking of cuffs... He had his out and ready in one hand. It would be easier with... What were those things again? Tonfa? Well, he had no tonfa on hand, so he'd have to find some other way to subdue his target.

Once at the Marketplace, he had to jump cleanly over someone to avoid further slowdown... but his downfall was in the manner of a wooden crate someone carelessly left in the road. Upon his landing, he had merely two steps to ready another hop, and that wasn't enough. His ankle hit the corner, his legs whipped out from under him, and he hit his belly on the ground, kicking up a lot of dust.
Panting raggedly from a little too much adrenaline, Night was down, shaky arms trying to push him back up. Now was Stigmata's chance!

And with his own words, he sighed and calmed down. His eyes stopped glowing, his breathing slowed, and that... well, killer instinct died down and went back to where it had come from. He was a little surprised at himself for even having this kind of attitude.
Needless to say, it scared him a little. Damn.
