Got a lot of questions

Characters: Dyad/Allelujah (monoideist) and Cheers (temulance)
Date/Time: Thursday, 21- afternoon.
Location: Outside Temporary housing
Rating: PG, as far as I can tell.
Summary: A "new" arrival is chilling out- Cheers runs into him.

------

He flipped over another page of the journal, trying his best to acclimate to the new setting. The Wilderness-- that was a place being mentioned near constantly, seemingly dangerous and filled with beasts. Lamenting of the disappearances of loved ones- deaths, potentially. The journal seemed to be a postal service, newspaper, and everything else all encompassed together. Perhaps the notes written were half obituary, half letters to informed the loved ones. No matter what he read or how he looked through it, there was the common theme- no one else remembered anything either. It seemed as though life here was all they all had even known, despite the incorrigible fact that there must have been something missing from their collective selves. He was certain of it.

What that something he was missing was, though, no amount of brooding or flipping through the journal or staying up sleeplessly, staring at the bunk above him in the temporary housing, wishing for sleep to come but dreading the idea of letting his guard down so easily would fix. It was though a part of him was gone- his past, his knowledge, his context-- a part of his soul, almost. it was distressing, of course-- he had awoken an amnesiac keenly aware of his mental state. More than that, though, it spurned his curiosity for the place.

He took solace in the fact that Lithium had arrived with him-- though he had no idea how he knew the other man, he simply knew him. They had arrived together in the same situation at the same time, and he had easily fallen into the category of trustworthy. It didn't fill that sort of longing curiosity within him, though- he was more curious of the bizarre twin in his dream, and the identical girls-- specifically the kind one he had chased.

Dyad's lips flickered upwards slightly at the thought. He had no idea who she was, absolutely no context, but that happy smile in his dream... it made him comfortable. As though she was alright, despite the situation.

He shook his head, pulling himself from his thoughts and glancing back down at the pages. Occasionally he considered writing something... but what would he say? Introduce himself, admit to his full ignorance? He would wait, at least, a little longer, until he had decided what he would write to introduce himself to the faceless population of Edensphere all reading and writing and keeping track of their journals. For now, he would continue trying to work things out as best he could.
