For all the time Blood spent in the Hatchery, she rarely had anything to do other than stare blankly at the cocoons willing Stoneface to burst out of one. When that proved ineffective, she would pace, sit down, and sometimes grab quick naps. Today, she had just settled in for her latest attempt to try and read through the book when she heard a noise.
Standing, she glanced around, noticing one of the cocoons moving. Grabbing a towel, a set of clothing, a journal, a map, and coins, she waited.
