She wrung her hands. Last time had gone so frighteningly, sometimes she wondered if she was cut out for this sort of thing. She had summoned her courage, though, and returned to work. If it worked out, she may have a very clam newborn and she could go on break. She smiled. She could do this. Iris survived other births!
Oh, yes, today had gone well. It would end even better if she could remember where she had put her list of things to say to newborns.
With the telltale splurch, she wrung her hands. Her usual panic overtook her.
