Eyepatch stepped out of his and Zombie's house, glancing down and pulling his jacket open. He hadn't even reached his cigarette pack nor had the door fully closed behind him when--poof!--a heavy suit appeared on him. It prevented him from grabbing his cigarettes, yet was just snug enough so he couldn't pull his arm from the sleeve either.
A bright orange glow dominated his line of vision, as well as waves of dark gray passing across. However, making out detail with one eye through a thin cut proved a difficult task. He didn't need to though, the rising heat told him enough.
Attempts to run resulted in a pathetic wobble that didn't move him more than a few inches. In a fit of anger colliding with fear, Eyepatch strung together each and every curse his brain could muster, though from the outside, it just sounded like indistinct muffled shouting.

He grabbed a back, making sure to have his guns, his special box, and a part of their collection of guns and bullets. He could smell the fire was large, and it was almost like a sixth sense sort of feeling.
Dog was wearing some weird suit, just like Eyepatch was. He looked down, and now he noticed some weird suit was on him. "I have our stuff; we need to find a place to take cover." He knew he could survive the fire with his healing ability, but he knew Eyepatch and Dog probably couldn't.

Through his narrow line of view, he made out another figure. It was only the pale contrast that he knew who it was, and Eyepatch fell still. He had no idea what the suit was exactly, but it's weight felt more like a restraining device than something to wear. He strained to hear what Zombie was saying and only managed to make out, 'find a place to take cover'.
"Easy for you to say!" he shouted, with no clue whether or not Zombie could hear him. Biting down on his tongue, he lifted one foot and slowly stepped forward. Although that proved more effective than trying to run, it took far more energy and time than taking a step should have.
"Fuck this," he muttered, managing to lift his arms and grasp the large head piece. He tugged and tugged, but the effort proved futile. "Help me get this piece of shit off!" At this rate, he felt he wouldn't make it across the pathway.

"We are going." He spoke slowly, trying to make it so Eyepatch could hear him better.
Dog was very obedient, following Zombie willingly she rubbed against Eyepatch's leg as if she was telling him to listen to Zombie.
He grabbed onto Eyepatch's suit and began dragging him. Somehow this all felt rather familiar. "We need to find somewhere safe, and stop messing with the suit; we don't have time for this." He knew the fire was getting bigger and more spread out. It was only a matter of time before section one would full collapse in fire (if this continued, that is).
Out of nowhere, their place got set on fire. Zombie cursed, gritting his teeth. He started moving again, tugging at Eyepatch to follow. "Move!"

He could feel something against his leg. Barely. The suit, however, just wasn't fit for him to look down, whether he wanted to or not. He dismissed it anyway on account of more pressing issues.
"Ah--!" Eyepatch's brow furrowed, but he really couldn't bring himself to complain. Zombie dragging him along eased a lot of the burden of the weight the suit held. Sloppily granted, but whatever, he was moving.
His arms dropped, resigning to the fact he just wasn't going to get the damn thing off. Glowing, smoke, and were those... screams? Eyepatch had no choice but to rely Zombie's direction to lead them to safety.
"Fucking... How big is it?" He spoke loudly and attempted to do so clearly, though he realized he may have just been talking to himself.

He wasn't sure where to go, and he didn't have the patience to look through the journal. All he knew was he had to get, and Eyepatch was coming with him. All this time, he felt like he was half on autopilot, calculating things in the back of his mind that he didn't even register.
"The fire is possible all over, wide spread." He could hear those screams, and part of him couldn't get enough of them, while the other dreaded hearing them. "We're going to need a new place." He muttered to himself, because even though it was a shitty place, it was his.

However, Zombie's response momentarily disrupted his train of thought, and he stumbled a couple steps. Eyepatch shook his head and didn't speak a word, trying to convince himself that he misheard Zombie or that Zombie was making shit up. Nevertheless, the continuous glow and rising heat forced Eyepatch from convincing himself of a pleasant lie.
"FUCK!" Eyepatch's chest lifted and fell rapidly, each breath forced as if the suit were constricting around his ribcage when that wasn't actually the case. He reached for his cigarette pocket out of habit and tightly clenched his fists when he was once again reminded he couldn't. One hand lifted for another futile attempt at removing the head piece, because he couldn't move fast enough in this thing, and he needed to move fast, he needed to run.
But where?
"Where are you taking us?" Where did one hide from a fire when they lived in a tree?

He wasn't sure where they were going, but he just knew he had to get them away. "We're going to find shelter." He left out the exact location, because he really wasn't sure. At least they were mostly away from the Section 1 fire, but everywhere he turned, there were more fires. He cursed to himself, this was utter bullshit. "Some island, maybe."
Dog was still following by his side, and he wasn't too concerned about her. His dog listened to her, Eyepatch didn't most of the time. "A dog is behaving better than you." He directed at Eyepatch.

"Shelter..." he repeated, with an exasperated sigh. His brows scrunched together, staring off at nothing in particular. "Just a thought, but an island with a lot of water would probably be a good start."
Eyepatch wanted punch Zombie for that comment, but not only did the suit impede his moments, aiming was like a shot in the dark, and so all that resulted was a single flail of his arm. "Maybe your dog's just retarded and was born without survival instinct."
