Bernard was happy.

More than happy, she was ecstatic.

The Sphere was full of love today!

And even better, she had a piece of mistletoe RIGHT OVER HER TANK that was drawing people toward her to be hugged! She hoped this would last forever.

[[OOC: Anyone who wants to can control Bernard, this thread is here for lulz. XD]]

In a mark of admirable forethought, Grace thought it was a good idea to acquaint herself with the various creatures that haunted the world of Edensphere. Who knew the next time a giant snake might attack? Or those over-sized squirrels? Why, next, it may be a fish-man! Grace laughed at the idea, though something struck her about the validity of such a concern.

She drew near a tank and her eyes flicked upward. Above her was a cluster of leaves. No recognition came to her mind of its natural importance, so she began to move away again, but something prevented her.

She pushed against the enchantment. Nothing. With a frown, Grace looked around. As her brown eyes fell on the tank, she spotted the pink creature.

The woman flipped the loose fuchsia hair over her shoulder. "Release your spell." Grace said flatly, hands on hips.

A new friend!

Chittering happily, Bernard oozed over the side of her tank and wrapped the woman that was coming toward her tank in her tentacles, drawing her close. She had known that her patience would be rewarded, and indeed, here was someone to love and hug.

The reaction was immediate. This thing had some sort of hold on her and it would take nothing less than the best of her skill to escape. Immediately, she began struggling.

"Release me, you filthy thing!" She could feel the tentacles on her body. Disgust rolled through her as she began to try to peel the thing from her body. Pink it may be, but it was incredibly invasive and much too personal for her tastes! Fire was building under her skin. She could feel it as surely as any other sense. Fury swept through her as her temper took hold.

She found herself looking around - no, she had come here alone. Worry, rage, disgust all tumbled together inside her. Where were they? She pushed against the creature harder.

The words went unnoticed as Bernard began to stroke her new friend's hair, chittering excitedly, telling her new friend about all of the fun they would have together.

And they would have fun, yes they would! She pulled her new friend closer, half-pulling her into the tank, where she could REALLY give her the love she deserved.

Ew and now it was touching her hair?! Of all the things! Grace tried to struggle more, but it seemed Bernard had the upper hand. And then it was oozing all over her, the disgusting bits of tentacle. It was utterly impossible for Grace to be grateful for the attention, much less be any sort of calm about it.

And then it began moving into the tank, dragging her along. Her strength was useless; she had none. Fury turned to terror. She was going to die. This thing was going to kill her and there had been no one to help her. How irritating! She tried pulling harder, but a dainty woman is just that: dainty.

She was going to drown. It wasn't any sort of heroic battle or ladylike decline of health. It was with this horrid creature where no one would know she had ever died. How awful, to die in obscurity!

Juliet had been wandering aimlessly through the area, happening across the Aquarium and going inside out of curiousity.

Then he spotted the pink creature.

"Why hello lovely," he said, drawing close to it. "What are you, I wonder? I've never seen anything like you."

Two in one day? Bernard happily clapped her tentacles together and reached out of her tank at the lovely woman(?) that was standing in front of her tank. Well, man, woman, it didn't care! It was a new friend to love and hug closely.

She reached out and stroked her new friend's hair, gurgling and cooing happily.

Juliet giggled when the creature touched his hair. She, he knew it was a she, seemed so happy to be able to find company. And he got that.

"My name's Juliet," he told her.

Oh, this one talked back! Bernard wiggled her tentacles excitedly and then wrapped them around her new friend, chittering with excitement. It was so rare that anyone spoke to her kindly and she wasn't going to let this one go soon!

"Ah!" Juliet let out a little gasp of surprise when he got hugged, but didn't mind. From the sounds she made, he could tell she was happy, and he felt good knowing he'd done so. As much as he could, he tried to hug her back.

He had not paid much attention to the writings, instead running around exploring. He wanted to get to know the city more. It wasn't handy to be so confused all the time. Spotting something pink and different in the aquarium, Youth approached it. After a moment of observation, he nodded and went to move on... only to discover that he was stuck.

"This is not a good sign." Youth tried again to step away. Nothing happened. "I am stuck? I AM STUCK. I SHOULD NOT BE STUCK!" He looked around, seeing the plant and completely missing that it had any significance. Something strange was going on, and there weren't even apples around.

Another new friend! Bernard could hardly believe her luck! And what a nice young man too - he looked confused, but then so many people did, she had noticed.

Swimming up to the edge of the tank she planted a kiss on the glass before reaching over with her tentacles and chittering a happy hello!

It seemed... friendly. This was a little disturbing, but perhaps they had friendly pink squid things where he came from and he just didn't remember them. It was possible. And this thing seemed to be greeting him. Well, it could not hurt to be polite.

"Hello! I am Youth. Do you know why I cannot move from this spot? Are you coming over to assist me?"
