The flail went everywhere with Lucy these days. She didn’t feel safe without it and given the way that the Tree itself had been acting recently, it was better to carry it than not to. Even in the marketplace where the worst thing a gal had to worry about was the odd pickpocket, being prepared was important. Others things such as eating and sleeping were equally important and after a couple of talks with some friends, the perky brunette much more like herself. Everything to Lucy was brighter and happy again and the people she knew working in the market were thrilled to see her bouncy and giggling again.
After awhile, Lucy found herself sitting on the bench where she’d talked with Roswell. Talking with him had helped immensely to pull her out of the dismal pit she’d fallen into and she’d have to make it up to him somehow. A wry smile came across her face as the birds sang sweetly in the trees. Soon, they’d be quiet and winter would come as the perky brunette mulled over what had happened in the past week. She found herself wishing for a non-magical notebook and pen so she could write these things down. If she thought about them just a bit more, perhaps they’d make more sense.
There was just no knowing what would happen next in Edensphere but perhaps that sunny, Sunday mid-afternoon would be different than the others. Lucy just sat there in the park, trying to figure something out.
