Summary: Spike and the boss lady are on duty, which is good, because today it's twins!

Today, Spike was on duty with Bastet, who was fresh from her trip to the elevator. He hadn't asked her about it, figuring she would volunteer the information if she wanted to, and if she didn't- it was her own business.
He was honored to have this chance to show her his skills in person, at any rate, so he was extra-attentive today. Patrolling, back and forth, always diligent, looking for cocoons stirring, or for any threats that might enroach upon their safety. Not stopping to let his thoughts, as they so often did, wander to Companion (in an obvious way, anyway)... or to lament the fact that Alexi had returned memoryless and without Kanin.
Hopefully it would be quiet.
