Summary: Raise is off cooking for another woman, so Bastet goes to hit up one of her back-up wives for dinner.
Bastet had yet to visit Range officially; she'd been by on occasion, but they always seemed to miss each other, only meeting by chance while out running errands. Once Raise left for his dinner with Cheers, Bastet gathered some things and headed over to Section 3.
He wasn't expecting her, but she doubted he'd turn her away. There were any number of places she could have gone--the food stands in the Marketplace were the most obvious--so she didn't really have to bother him. But he had promised to cook for her at some point...and she could admit to herself that she just wanted to see him.
Things were going fairly well between them, even if they weren't following the same path they had before. In all honesty, she wasn't sure if she wanted them to; losing him, then having to get used to life without him, only to have him reappear once more with no memories...she wasn't quite ready to risk herself again. Not yet.
She reached his house from the back, grinning as she sensed him inside. Rounding to the side of the building, she opened the window near the bathroom, at the end of the hallway leading to the bedrooms, before crawling in, bringing her small bag with her. She wouldn't startle an expert marksman by coming out of what he'd thought was an empty room--while Bastet was capable of dodging a bullet, that wasn't the tone she wanted to set for the evening.
"Yo," she called, dropping to the floor, her feet making no sound. No sooner had she closed the window behind her, the music started up, a gorgeous, winding, lush instrumental that she'd heard quite a bit over the last few days. She couldn't wait to hear what was following Range around.
