Summary: Cara starts her exploring in the place least likely to have hungry monsters if she heads there alone.
Cara stood at the edge of the Marketplace island, looking at the fairly disreputable bridge leading out from it. Now, this was a place where she wished she had managed to make more out of being a wind drake. Sure, she'd flown out to the different islands while she'd had wings, but not being a very good flyer and being unable to fit into any buildings, on top of slightly unusual vision, she really needed to make another trip.
"Oh well," she said to herself, slinging her spear over her back. "Maybe a bird will be passing by just underneath if this thing decides to drop me." She stepped onto the bridge, holding onto the rope tightly. It wasn't the height that bothered her--heights were absolutely fine, so long as she had something that she trusted to actually keep her up. Great view all the way down to the roots, really. Ah well. If this was the most nerve-wracking thing she did today, she was well ahead of the game.
