Characters: Cara (feathered_earth) and Fallen (sauntersthrough)
Date/Time: March 9th, eight-thirty in the morning because who wants to sleep in on a Saturday =D
Location: Weapons shop, then the dojo
Rating: PG
Summary: Cara helping people to learn how to use weapons, part 1

Cara waited at the weapons stall, her spear in hand as always. She shut her eyes for a moment, enjoying the morning sunshine as she waited for Fallen. The chilly morning breeze felt so refreshing, especially after the past week. It was good to have the reminder that no matter what happened, the sun would rise in the morning and there was still the work of living to do.

Particularly the work of keeping people safe. Cara had been feeling at a loss... ever since discovering the body parts in the branches a few weeks before. Everyone seemed so... so accepting of it, that it was just the way things were here, and somehow she'd been caught along with that. That wasn't right. No, it wasn't safe, but that didn't mean she ought to just accept it and leave the business of dealing with things to others. In fact, that was the precise opposite of what she ought to do. It was--it was her job to keep people safe. Never mind Adventurer or Guard or Farmer or whatever else a person could apply to be in the tree. Protecting people--any people, not just her friends--was just something she had to do.

~good omens: crowley (fallen), ff5: krile (cara)
