The dream isn't over yet

Location: Hall of Beginnings
Rating: PG-13 for usual nudity. Possible beatings by Lucy.
Summary: Chosen arrives in Edensphere... again.

Another shift. Not that the man minded- it certainly helped not only repay his debt for living under Chosen, but also continue paying while the other man was... incapacitated. That... was the word he wished to use. Dead was too final- it gave him the sense that he had failed... someone. Himself? Chosen? His duties? Just a vague, nostalgic feeling. He had also been unable to exact vengeance on the double...
His only worry (Though it was impossible to read by his perfected facade or tone of voice) was how... long it had been since Chosen's... departure. He had asked guards and other guides upon his arrival to the Hall, but never did any of them greet a sparkling, infuriating redhead.
But, these worries were well-masked as the man sat back, beside the piles of typically newborn equipment. His head was down, arms folded over his chest, and had every appearance of a man asleep on the job- were it not for the piercing, ruby-tinted eyes that watched the hall diligently.
After a moment, he turned his head, auburn spikes bouncing with the movement, to check on the girl that had followed him to work. Lucy had a tendency to come with him to the hall, in hopes that her 'big brother' would return. She also had a tendency to be... entirely to vibrant "...Lucy." He finally spoke, monotonous voice the same as ever, "Will you sit do--"
He cut his words off suddenly at the distinct sound of a crumbling cocoon, standing up from his seat to examine the rows of them. Apparently the tree was due for another arrival.
