The desk and one chair were spread with manilla files, neatly ordered and each with a particular code of coloured ink marks on the front, signifying the work that had been done in each case. He was painstakingly picking his way through them, identifying vital information and transferring it to corresponding sheets of paper, his determination to complete the quick-reference folder of emergency information only increased by the recent events in the Sphere ( ... )

"I could always step outside if you insisted." Crow commented, taking in the room with a glance before approaching the desk. Not like he would leave if Justice asked, but he was certainly capable of it. Crow was limping, very slightly. It hurt to walk normally, but it hurt his pride more to limp, really. Crow noticed the small gesture. He always noticed details. The tightening of the fingers on the pen. The tension gathering in Justice's shoulders. the deep breath.

"Very observant, Justice-san. Your kindness is appreciated, but I would prefer to stand." Crow smiled, his wry, sarcastic smirk as he met Justice's eyes.

"But now I must wonder... Have you been speaking to me on the journals? It seems a few others have. Which is most curious, since I lost my journal in a tussle with a man remarkably identical to myself. What do you make of that?" Crow asked, one eyebrow arching in mock curiousity, as if the whole situation were some odd occurrence like thought bubbles or random song, to be discussed over tea.
