Summary: Three Meisters went ZOT in Adstringendum. Three Meisters rehatch. Two significant others are going to give them one hell of a lecture.
Having Throne and Want vanish was bad. Worse than bad. Drake had been soldiering on, though, and relying a lot on Raise to keep him buoyed up. Their relationship had progressed beyond 'denial' and into 'lovers', and it had been enough to keep him happy even while he fretted. It had kept him stable even after he'd met his brother in person (and found out in another reality he and Fullmetal's alternate were apparently gay for each other, what the hell). That relationship had been what was keeping his brain in check.
Then...Raise had died.
If it wasn't for Sky's unexpected patience and caring and Lezard's support, he might well have lost his mind. As it was, the moment the cocoons were fully relocated and the tree was evacuated Drake had run upstairs in the hotel, picked a room (yes, it was a penthouse suite, he'd earned it) and mooched all the blankets off the bed. He had then set up camp near the cocoons, waiting, watching.
He wasn't alone in his vigil, though. He'd found out Bastet had lost Sniper too -- and worse, right in front of her. So they were both staying up and waiting. "I'm hungry," he said quietly from where he was sitting in his pile of blankets. They weren't far from the buffet, but he'd been afraid of leaving for even a second.
