Surgery Complete
Thank goodness! My surgery is complete. I am so scared of surgery so as the last couple days approached today, I got more and more nervous. It's not the surgery itself...it's being put to sleep I'm scared of. Even though I know everything will be fine and it is a very minor surgery, I still HATE being put to sleep. Last year when I had surgery on widening my nasal passages, I FOUGHT the anesthesia. So then I was in tears because I just kept feeling the cold anesthesia flow through my veins. I cannot stand that one bit! So, I tried my best to close my eyes and relax today and not fight it. I was asleep before I knew it. My anesthesiologist was better this year too. I really liked him. Surgery was over in 20 minutes and I was awake 40 minutes later. I left about 2 hours after I woke up. I kept getting told how sweet I was all morning long by the nurses. They must not know the real me ;) Got wheeled to the car and started home. That was when I was on a total high from the Dravaset :)
I'm suppossed to lay around resting for the next 10 days...yeah right! Come on, people! It is just tonsils! I've got places to go and things to do. Feeling fine right now other than the huge swollen mass in the back of my throat. Been catching up on emails, watching tv, and reading blogs. Figured it was time to do an entry myself ;)
On another note, my boyfriend didn't call to check on me. Amanda called the minute we were in the door, but not aaron. I got home at 10:30 and it's 1:13 and no call. I called him and he was like...I'm on my way home now, I was going to call your parents when I got home. WTF?!?! What happened to the flowers and coming to take care of your girlfriend...touching. Kiss mine! If it was him in surgery, we all know I would have been sitting there with his parents at 6 am and stayed until I got kicked out. At least my daughter's momma called. And Eden was definitely cute on the phone telling Duke "NO!" to stealing her granola bar. That dog and her are constantly battling ;) They are going to be so cute growing up together.
P.S. I know I'm behind on updating for the past week so I will do that later today...I need to get something to eat and take a nap.
