Today, we spent the morning touring St. Martins and Canterbury Cathedral. Both have an amazing history and are beautiful but are really different! God's so powerful and full of grace; yet, he betstows his love upon each one of us every day. Canterbury was gorgeous but way too ornate for my tastes. On the train today, there was a boy who was talking to some girls he didn't know telling them he had went out with 2 lesbians the past weekend and did one right after the other. Don't guy's think before speaking?!?! I'm still trying to find God in that one...
So anyways, we had to write out a piece about what we liked best in Canterbury...so I'm going to put mine in here. It's pretty personal but most reading this understand my situation and if they don't and have any rude comments see me ;)
In St. Andrews, nature was so beautiful and a true blessing to me. At St. Andrew's Museum, there was a portrait by McIntosh Patrick depicting a scene on a beach at St. Andrew's. There were families barbequing together, couples walking alongside the cliffs enjoying nature, and single persons who appeared to be embracing the nature through meditation (thought and prayer). All of the people within the picture unite to depict the love Christ has bestowed upon and through us; the beautiful gift God has given us through nature; and the fun we can all have in appreciating all He has given to us.
Throughout the trip's duration, God continually revealed his love to me through the people we encountered in our surroundings. The love we have for each other does not start to compare to God's love for us. Yet, God has blessed us with the love of those who surround us. During the prayer service we held at St. Martins, I saw God's amazing love for each one of us. During the quiet time, I prayed and reflected on all the gifts God has bestowed upon us. He's so powerful, yet full of love, bestowing his grace upon us everyday. God has blessed us with the riches of loving family and friends to be our support, but by making Him the backbone of the support system, all love can become a greater love by first loving through faith.
