Sick
K for those of u that don't know...went to the doc Friday and he didn't even look at my throat when I said it was swollen. He gave me antibiotics for my swollen lymph node in my arm and told me to have a mono test. Monday, the mono test came back negative so they were going to quit. Given I had a fever all weekend and slept 16 hours in a 24 hour period, I told them something was wrong and I wanted to know what. They didn't call me back like they should've so mom and I went in this morning...THEY WEREN'T GOING TO SEE ME CUZ I DIDN'T HAVE AN APPT...WHICH IS THEIR FAULT FOR NOT CALLING ME BACK!
I waited for an hour then they called me in. The nurse who swabbed my throat for strep was tellin the other nurses that was one of the worst things she'd ever seen. My tonsils and the back of my throat (heading down my esophagus) are covered with puss. I'm negative for strep...which is good for lots of people...but it also meant more tests. I went and had a blood test for mono (this time it was a more specific test). I also got 2 shots in my butt...let me tell u...OWWW! One for antibiotics and one for steroids. If I'm not feeling better by this evening...well girls, I won't be posting much at all...because as of tomororow if I'm not feeling better from these shots and the test comes back with nothing...hello hospital was what I was told. Did I mention I hate hospitals? Oh! And if they don't figure out what's wrong within the next 10 days...no school for me...good grief this sucks!
But momma went to the grocery while I got my blood drawn to get Jello, real fruit popsicles, sherbert, chicken noodle soup, and more ice cream. I'm on all liquids cuz I can't get nething else down. So at least I have wonderful things to choose from! :) Hehe. Man I want some real food again!
So it's 10:19 and the steriods definitely made me perky the last 5 hours...but it hasn't helped my throat very much...I could definitely use some prayers cuz if this thing doesn't come back sayin I have mono tomorrow...they'll be putting me in the hospital. Oh goodness! I think I'll drive north to be with Kara and hide out...man Kara...I wanted to come so bad but being like I am I wouldn't be much fun neways. Hopefully you've been havin a great week with everyone! Love ya girl and can't wait to meet ya!
