K, this weekend's been interesting so far!!! Thursday, I took the two tests I had in Religious Studies and Astronomy. RS I think went very well. Astronomy...there were questions on the test that weren't in any of the material!!!! I studied hard enough to know that. That was really disappointing. Now, I have to do REALLY well on the next test. Ugh...what am I going to do?!?! But, at least all the tests I've been enduring these past few weeks are done for a while.
Got home Thursday evening to surprise my parents, mom opened the door and just stared at me saying "What are you doing here?" She joked all day Friday that you never know what's going to show up on your doorstep. Went to lunch with dad Friday and then voted like a good American :) Friday evening, I went and surrpised Aaron at his house. His mom was sitting in the living room and when I knocked, she got up and went towards the kitchen and told Aaron to get the door. Well, he came to the door and saw me there and just stood there speechless. His mom finally came back to the living room and said "Aaron!! Aren't you going to invite her in!?" She had decided it couldn't possibly be me because he wasn't saying anything. Apparantly, I really did surprise him. Boy was it hard!!! I almost slipped tons of times!! He was speechless for about 10 minutes. Hopefully he was good surprised ;)
After the shock wore off, he cancelled his tentative plans with friends for the evening (YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT AARON!!!) and his mom, bro, him, and I went to eat at Turonis. A magician came by the table and entertained us. I fell for all the tricks. I love magic! I'll never understand it and have no desire to :) And of course, Ethan was quite the character during dinner. He's so funny! After dinner, Aaron and I went to the theatre. He insisted that I choose so I picked Shall We Dance? It was a pretty good movie though movie of my year is still going to be Ocean's Twelve. Unfortunately, it opens the week before I come home from school so who knows who I'll convince to see it the second time...cuz if I was everyone else, I'd have already seen it by then ;) After the movie, we went to have our usual chat and snuggle. We pulled into Robert's Stadium and were just talking!!! A cop came up behind us, turned on his lights, and came to the window. We both got warning tickets because apparantly (even though it's not posted) it's a park that's closed 11 p.m. til sunrise. I've never had a ticket in my life!!! And to get myself and my boyfriend one all in the same night simply for pulling over and chatting!!!
I was about to throw up and cry all at the same time. Aaron was definitely keeping calm for the both of us. The cop took forever to write our warnings. Oh! But before he did that, he so kindly asked me to get out of the car. Omg!!! I thought I was going to get a gun pulled on me and patted down! I think he saw that I was freaking cuz he said never mind and asked Aaron to get out and go to the back of the car. When he did, the cop asked me if I was there on my own free will. Then, he proceeded to go to the back of the car and ask Aaron the same thing. K...where were the cops in the past when I really did need this?! On a funny note, when he brought our tickets he told us that the Newburgh Dam was open to the public 24 hours a day and of course, IHOP and Denny's was too. At this point, I had to resist laughing to let out a bit of the nervousness I had. It's like he was saying...can't be here but I'll help ya find a place ;) Aaron says we'll look back on this and laugh. So far, I'm not laughing. Though it definitely was an experience that only the two of us have shared. Hopefully, we never share it again ;) I made it home okay even though I was very tense the entire way.
Today, I went to my brother's soccer games. They won the first game and played great! The second game unfortunately they lost. They played Mater Dei. MD's coach got a yellow card in the first 10 minutes of the game. In the second quarter, he got another yellow card which equalled a red and got him kicked out fo the game. He took forever to walk off the field which made the ref even more angry. Then, he walked just outside the fence and leaned against it to watch. The ref told him he had to move farther. Another guy came and escorted him farther away. The guys were up 1-0 at half time. With about 5 minutes left, MD scored which meant we had two 7-minute quarters of overtime. Well, they scored a second goal in the first quarter. Unfortunately, our team never got another one :( They played well though and had a great season! Maybe next year!!! WAY TO GO CENTRAL SOCCER GUYS!!!
