Share the Magic
So, I entered into the HP Magic Giveaway on a very special lady's blog tonight. I've been reading through some of her posts, and you all really should take a look. Below is the link to the post that was most inspiring to me and the comment that I left. A special shout out to
absenteeshe for making me aware of this great opportunity! These computers and other odds and ends could really make a difference in a lot of lives. Our schools (as well as the general state of our city) struggle to be able to provide the extras for our kids because there isn't enough revenue to provide that for them. These kids could really make a difference in the community if only given the chance to suceed with some extra tools.

"Thank you for posting such an eye-opener. It really is a shame that the general public isn't more educated about all different walks of life. I dream of the day where humanity accepts each other as individuals that each have a lot to offer and respect that those offerings do not come in the same form. It's so frustrating to see all the rude, thoughtless actions that are exhibited by people everyday. I hope that in both our lifetimes, we can come to educate the public about generosity and understanding. Goodness knows that we are all people who want that in return.
I would share the magic of Kung Fu Panda with one of the foster kids on my caseload. I would keep the Premium Notebook and the Touch Smart to update my husband's and my own failing computers so that he can continue his graphic design dream. I would gift everything else to schools that could really benefit in sharing the technology with their students.
