SPRING BREAK UPDATE TIME!!!! I got home Friday morning at midnight! Slept in Friday morning and then got up to have lunch with momma :) Hung around the house enjoying momma’s company all day (we did that a lot!!! :)) That night, Aaron came and picked me up and took me to Central’s game :) Between him and momma it was never quiet. Hehe. The boys played great, but unfortunately, lost it in overtime to Castle :( Maybe next year!!!! After that, Aaron took me home and we just hung out the rest of the night til he went home :)
Saturday…slept in again! Relaxed with the fam all day until I went to dinner at Aaron’s. It was the first time I’d ever went for a sit down dinner! We’ve went out to eat together and got take out to eat in the family room but never a homemade cooked meal!!!! Dinner was delicious!!! Course, his mom had made cookies (geez Aaron…couldn’t you tell your mom I’d given up sweets?!?! Hehe) and unfortunately I couldn’t touch them cuz of Lent. I wore my new button down shirt from Aeropostale (there’s something random for everyone who didn’t know hehe). It was a blast. We watched a movie that definitely was not a Disney movie cuz of the 2 love couples, one from each couple died! Ugh…no romance there! After that, Aaron, Dave, Ethan, and I played Sequence. Aaron and I won both times…sorry Ethan…better luck next time! I had some pumpkin pie at the stroke of midnight!
Sunday, went to church and hung around the house…big events ;) Monday…had lunch with Aaron, hung out with momma playing games. Took Momma to the Flying J to meet my grandparents so they could head to Louisville for my grandfather’s surgery the next morning. Headed home to see Aaron who was there working on homework waiting on me. Snuggled up with him and enjoyed our time together! Dad came home and we hung out since everyone else was gone for the evening. Tuesday, went to Aeropostale where I bought myself 2 pairs of pants that were half price. Gotta have chinos for the summer since it’s gonna be warmer where I am and I don’t wear shorts :) Bought Aaron a cute button down that if I must say so myself was very very cute! Yes, I only originally went in to buy Aaron things…I’m a shopping addict what can I say! I went to the Youth First Auction Aaron’s mom was holding. Helped out a bit. Mainly, just enjoyed myself and got to watch social work stuff in action which was cool! Now I have more of an idea how to raise money ;) Enjoyed spending the time with Aaron of course!!! Danced with his bro which made Aaron upset cuz I wouldn’t with him. I can look like an idiot with Ethan because he’s only 11! I’m a bad dancer and that would definitely show with Aaron! Oh well…can’t keep everyone happy.
Wednesday…lunch with Aaron where I ate Chinese that definitely wasn’t as good as BSU’s Asian Creations General Gau! Went shopping for Aaron’s gifts afterwards :) Went to Things Remembered and got a keychain engraved for his collection (that will be a story that has a bad ending by the end of this entry!!). Then I headed home to hang before going to the church for the meeting with Aunt Marge. It was a meeting over strengthening our girls. Out of the youth girls we have, myself and another girl have been pregnant (she currently is). So we’re looking on what program we can start to make girls feel stronger so that at middle school and high school age they aren’t feeling like they need to have sex with a guy. It was a good meeting and went well. I definitely went home with a lot of thoughts. Course, I bragged on Aaron while I was there and probably embarrassed his mom by doing so. I’m so blessed because I have a guy that doesn’t pressure me with that and we’ve talked about it at length about how we want to wait until marriage. I may have screwed up once, but I’m not about to do so again. And to have a guy that supports me in that and wants that for himself, I couldn’t be more blessed. Parri and Dave definitely raised a son to be proud of. There is not a guy in the world that is more respectful.
Thursday, spent the day around the house again :) Went to sports award night at Day School. I couldn’t be more proud of Aaron. He definitely is the best teamplayer there is and it shows in all he does! Honey…congrats on all you! I love you and I’m amazed by each thing that you are a part of. You have a personality and spirit that I’m blessed to have in my life. Way to go on finishing out the season strong!!!!
Friday, I went to breakfast with Aaron since it was senior skip day. We dropped off my car at WalMart to get the oil changed and then headed over to IHOP. Then, we went to Babies R Us where I proceeded to buy the cutest OshKosh outfit ever for Eden’s Easter gift. When I picked up the hat that went with it that was the breaking point for Aaron. He’d told me he’d take me if I promise to not buy things. Well…an outfit isn’t a thing! Caught ya there! So I ended up almost in tears cuz I haven’t been able to buy anything for Eden in months because of being so broke. I was going to walk out of the store but Aaron and I talked and looked around some more and in the end I got what I wanted (the outfit). It’s gorgeous! But, she looks pretty in anything! Then, I made him drive by Cold Stone cuz I’d seen it over there. It totally looked open cuz there were cakes in the display. I made him promise if I found out it was open he’d take me there on our date the next night. Well….apparently as he told me later, he’d planned on taking me all along cuz he already knew about it but in the end, I ruined that surprise cuz I bugged him about it too much :) Hehe…oopppsss!!!! After that, we picked up my car and went to the mall for a bit. Then, Aaron went off to meet his class for lunch and the movie. I headed off to my grandparents :) Mimi’s was first!!! Played cards with her and chatted with her and Papaw while he made ham salad. I won SkipBo every time :) Seems to be a trend with games this week between her and my mom :) Hehe. Then, I headed to my other grandmothers for dinner. It was delicious!!! We hung out playing Kings in the Corner (dad and Zach had come up for dinner too). It was fun :) Then I went home and chatted with Aaron and relaxed the rest of the evening.
Saturday, got up and immediately threw on clothes to go with Lori to run errands. We went first to Ben Franklins where I bought some needed scrapbook things for a project I’m working on. Then, it was off to Hobby Lobby to get what we hadn’t found. Then, back to the house to work on the box I’d bought for Aaron to put all the letters I send him (versus keeping them in the sock drawer). Thanks to Lori’s amazing help (couldn’t have done it without you) we got the box done and it looked amazing!!!! Hopefully Aaron will like it instead of hate it…if not Lori said she’d take it and sand off the special things that were for Aaron and I. But here’s to hoping that doesn’t have to happen! I got it done just in time to have 30 minutes to get ready for our date…including shaving and doing my hair nice! But I got done (once again…thanks to Lori! I owe ya girl! You’re awesome!!!!) Aaron arrived and off we went :) He got me a beautiful red rose! AND a movie I’d wanted to see….Ladder 49! What a sweetie! Off we went to none other than Walther’s for PuttPutt. That was his other big surprise. Needless to say I was hesitant cuz we were dressed up and since so many people from Central are always there, I was a bit embarrassed. So, we opened Aaron’s gift first. Which brings me to the point of this keychain…I discovered Friday evening when I picked it up after getting off the phone with Aaron that the keychain date was wrong! See, I’d decided to engrave our anniversary date on the front and on the back I put forever in my heart. Well….I put 4-12-03. Which wouldn’t be a problem except we didn’t start dating until 2004!!!! In a way, it was a compliment because I’m sure I just thought 2003 cuz that’s Eden’s birthday. So it’s my other fave person on earth. But I feel like an awful girlfriend! There was no way to fix it :( And since I spent over $15 on just engraving, it was kind of impossible to start over. That and I didn’t have the time when I realized the mistake. So needless to say, I was feeling pretty bad about it! I hope it’s something we just laugh about later on! Putt-Putting was actually really fun! I WON!!! That’s right! Aaron hit his ball in the water twice and after pouting, lost. Sorry…my win ur loss! Hehe. Then, we went to dinner at Raffertys…the first place we ate together :) It was an awesome evening! Our waitress was the sweetest! Then, mom came in with the group of women she’d been gone with the last day to Nashville for a Mary Kay conference. So Aaron and I decided to pay the waitress but have her send the bill over to mom’s table. She so wasn’t letting us get away with that one. It was funny. Dinner was delicious!!! MMMM!!! Then we went to Cold Stone Creamery!!!! We got ice cream for all his family :) and took it back the house. The poor girl that had to wait on us :( they loved it! At least his family said they did! Hopefully! Then, we headed back to my house to watch Ladder 49. Unfortunately, my bro came home so we had him there in the living room with us. So after the movie was over, we just watched the last scene over a lot so that we could have some alone time…I mean it was our “1 year anniversary.” It was an amazing evening and I definitely felt like a princess!!!!
Sunday, went to church, hung out with the fam, told Aaron goodbye at the Olive Garden. Started the long drive back. It was definitely a day of missing Eden (I was having a bad birthmomma day and no one was around to talk to) so I called Mandy. Poor girl was really sick :( So we didn’t talk long. But, I did get to hear Eden sing me a long and blow me kisses :) So that was nice! Got back to school around 11 and brought almost all my stuff in :) Talked to Aaron and then called it a night! Break was nice and definitely needed!
