Mar 17, 2014 21:36

Hey guys! It's the triumphant return of the nail art challenge entries! I had a bunch of entries photographed but then I lost the memory card before I got to post them up. And since it is St. Patrick's Day, today is the perfect day to post up a Green manicure :

More images, the design tutorial and materials I used can be found below the cut

Materials Used:

Base Coat - Sally Hansen Nail Nutrition Green Tea + Bamboo Strengthener
Matte Coat - New York Color #274 Matte Me Crazy
Light Green Polish - New York Color #298 High Line Green
Dark Green Polish - Wet n Wild #226C SaGreena the Teenage Witch
Gold Polish - Art Club #NA26 Gold Glitter
Dotting Tool - Winstonia

Inspiration/Tutorial Used:
since it is St. Patrick's Day I looked for specific manicures on YouTube and stumbled upon this one by practicewithpolish. The shade of green I used as the base color coat was much darker than I thought it would be so I put on a matte coat after it to make the glossiness of the dark green I used for shamrocks stand out. Also, I substitued gold polish for the white used in the video to make the dots.
