The update on The House on the Creek. The tenants have gone to Louisiana this summer to clean and move FEMA trailers. This means that while the house is unoccupied I can’t start working on it because that family has not technically moved out. Arg! I’d love to take advantage of the free time I have and work on it this summer. I’ve decided that September is the latest I can move in this year. I certainly don’t want to be moving in when it’s cold.
In the meantime I’m collecting furnishings.
A cook stove
A coffee table
A china cabinet
A kitchen table
A couch
A DVD player
A TV
A bedstead
So, thanks to the generosity of several donors things are looking better on that front although there are still several big things I’m going to have to buy.
Quote of the Day:
"When I was a child, adults would tell me not to make things up, warning me of what would happen if I did. As far as I can tell so far, it seems to involve lots of foreign travel and not having to get up too early in the morning."
