JUST ME, JUST ME
by
Shel Silverstein

Sweet Marie, she loves just me
(She also loves Maurice McGhee).
No she don't, she loves just me
(She also loves Louise Dupree).
No she don't, she loves just me
(She also loves the willow tree).
No she don't, she loves just me!
(Poor, poor fool, why can't you see
She can love others and still love thee.)

Hmmm... Synchronicity. I found a book of Shel Silverstein poetry today in my mom's stuff and trew it out because the binding had come unglued. It's not deep in the trash, though, and after reading these, I think I'll fish it out, reglue it , and put it on my shelf (after giving it a good read.)
