Things done today:
1. Got a haircut.
2. Bought groceries.
3. Cooked another batch of veggie sidedish, since I opened the old one to accompany my leftover turkey.
4. Turned my box of addresses written on scrap paper into a coherent Word document.
5. Returned a library book.
6. Pulled together 2/3 of necessary stuff for laundry run tomorrow.
7. Found permanent storage areas for some kitchen things that used to live piled on a table.
8. Rationalized my Harry Potter 3-sentence ficlets on AO3.
9. Moved chicken to fridge to defrost for more cooking Sunday afternoon and evening.
Not too shabby, all in all!

Sidenote: I continue to tweak the veggie sidedish procedure a little with each iteration. I think I have the recipe down now -- one onion, one green bell pepper, one yellow squash, one packet of Lipton Recipe Secret Garlic & Herb seasoning, one packet/cube of chicken bouillon, a little water to dampen the powders and get them spread evenly around the crockpot, cook on low for 4-5 hours until everything is thoroughly mushy and flavorful. I have also finally figured out how to chop onions efficiently and I'm working on a similar trick for the squash. (The peppers are probably too irregular to ever be tidy, alas.) And tonight it occurred to me that since this recipe produces excess liquid that I don't want, I could stop halfway through spooning it into storage and run the rest through a strainer. It worked beautifully. *grin*
