...Is it just me, or is he using his salvage job as an excuse and rationalization to move in the direction of Vriska's house, thus putting him in a position to follow Karkat's orders without having to admit that he was following them (even to himself)?
I'm tempted to say that Aradia should be in the middle of cataloging and translating her finds when Davven arrives, but it is plainly obvious that the following is the only proper course of events:

Again. ====>Aradia's lusus: Resist emphatically. ====>Davven: Blink in. Observe horrorpuppet tug-of-war. Acquire mental scars.
Well, Equius was moving toward the basement entrance to Vriska's hive (aka, spidermom's web) before Karkat trolled him, so that initially had nothing to do with anything except his hope that he'd find all the important parts without having to get near spidermom. Later on, though, who knows!
As for Aradia... hmm. Hmmmm. *pose of deep thinking* I will take that suggestion under advisement and we shall see what happens, I guess!
