1. Rental office 9am-5pm. A surprisingly busy day! Aunt Boss was in for about two hours, most of which was spent preparing her new extra computer (set up to access all our office programs) so she could carry it off to her house and start working from home. Mom Boss dropped by for about 15 minutes but otherwise was home all day.

We've adopted a new procedure for handling leases that doesn't require Mom Boss to be in the office, though I and/or Miss California do need to be there to handle a few specific steps. So that's good. I also handled some package-related tenant issues, took updated photos of a particular building common area for Mom Boss, and re-filed a whole bunch of mailbox keys that we'd given to the maintenance department a few weeks ago for use in a project.

Then I got started on a scanning/filing project. See, Aunt Boss decided that since everything is very slow, now is an excellent time to clear out a bunch of old paperwork that's been sitting around for... well, for this particular batch I think it's been about nine years. So I have been taking all the component documents apart (ye gods and little fishes, there were SO MANY STAPLES, and at least half of them utterly unnecessary), scanning them, giving coherent labels to the files, and uploading and attaching them to the relevant property in Rent Manager. I got through about half the stack, and I have hopes that the next half will go faster since I think it's composed of longer individual documents and consequently contains fewer staples.

2. Watered my houseplants.

3. Boiled eggs.

4. Wrote ~200 words of the Narnia/Naruto crossover, which tried to veer in an unproductive direction but I wrenched it back on track, go me. :)

5. Put away the shirts that had been air-drying overnight.

6. Arranged a phone date with Susan.

7. Decided not to make brownies tonight but instead go to bed early-ish. Instead, I will bake them tomorrow.

And now, as mentioned, I am off to bed.
