tenants and keys and forms, oh my!

May 28, 2019 21:08

Today was day one of the new "summer hours" schedule.

It was, predictably, LONG. That is because the weekend after Cornell's commencement (and/or Memorial Day weekend) tends to be when we get a giant clump of people moving out and all returning their keys en masse. So I spent my morning processing key returns (in between handling the emails Mom Boss forwarded to me as she worked through her own giant clump of weekend messages), and my afternoon processing damage deposit return address forms (aka, "tell us where to send your damage deposit, because you DO want your money back, right? RIGHT???" forms).

In the event, I got all the forms processed but didn't have time to attach them all to the relevant files in Rent Manager. I also didn't get the newly-approved sublet forms emailed or added to Rent Manager and our summer sublet spreadsheet, though I did get them scanned. And as for processing the rent payments that came in the mail, or printing the new parking tag labels? Forget about it.

But tomorrow will be much less crowded and I should be able to catch up to myself.

Oh, and in non-work news, I caught a bus out to Tops after work to do my weekly grocery run and pick up my Celexa refill, since for obvious reasons (no buses on Memorial Day) I couldn't do that yesterday. I may also boil some eggs now that I've finished dinner. Hurrah for general life maintenance. *wry*
