stuff done: Tuesday-Friday

Apr 28, 2017 20:08

1. Took kitchen compost to communal bin.

2. Called Susan and chatted for an hour and a half. It was good to catch up!

3. Started moving my vegetables outside in the afternoons, to get them used to direct sunlight (instead of sunlight filtered through my kitchen windows).

4. Planted new seeds in three of my squash containers, since only one of my transplants (Meeny) survived. I have put two seeds per container, and will thin as necessary in a few weeks.

5. Stewardship committee meeting with Rev. Weis on Thursday evening. I think it went pretty well, and I have my fingers crossed more than ever that Sunday's vote is in her favor. :)

6. Finished and posted my last mini-ficlet prompt meme fic. \o/

7. Updated my fic directory posts with the four prompt meme fics, which I had left hanging while I struggled with the last ficlet.

8. Withdrew cash for laundry, since next weekend will be my big spring cleaning laundry day (or days). I might even remember to wash my curtains as well as washing my winter bedding and coats. So exciting!! *makes face*

9. Checked out three of Marie Brennan's Memoirs of Lady Trent series from the library and put a hold request on a fourth. (The fifth and final book was there as well, but I decided to leave it for people who have already read the first four. I'll hold request it next week.)

10. Arranged a phone call with Cat for Saturday evening.

11. TOOK A NAP.

12. Bought groceries.

13. Called parents to discuss plans for their visit next weekend.

14. Updated my résumé in preparation for restarting my job search. *sigh*

15. Dug my window screens out of my closet and opened all my windows to help cool my apartment.

16. Trimmed the back of the lilac bush, which has to be done every year to make room for my air conditioner. (It grows right up against my front room window, you see.) I will trim the rest of the bush in late May, after it has finished blooming -- it has only just started blooming now, and while the flowers aren't very abundant, they are making a much better showing than in various years past. I definitely think the plant does better when I prune it regularly.

17. Did a smidge of editing work on "Second Chances," which I hope to finish by Monday night. *crosses fingers*
