stuff done: Monday-Thursday

Mar 16, 2017 22:57

1. Took garden progress photos and posted them online.

2. Plunged both bays of my kitchen sink, which didn't seem to do anything. Poured drain-declogging fluid down the left bay of the sink, and also down my shower drain. Washed it out fifteen minutes later with boiling water from a teakettle followed by generically hot tap water. The pipes seem to be running better now.

3. Put away my remaining laundry.

4. Reached an understanding with Susan about her story prompt. I will attempt a new outline either Friday or Monday.

5. Shoveled my sidewalks two and a half times on Tuesday.

6. TOOK A NAP.

7. Shoveled sidewalks one and a half times on Wednesday.

8. Made three political activism phone calls in support of NOT repealing Obamacare's Medicaid expansion. \o/ (I left messages with my senators, and spoke to an actual human in my representative's office. We commiserated about the weather. *wry*)

9. TOOK A NAP.

10. Watered my houseplants. (I also intensely considered new pot options for Castor and HayJay, the two spider plants I still need to repot. One of the local flower shops has some very pretty pots, but they're a little more expensive than I was hoping to go. Unfortunately, I suspect anything that meets both my aesthetic requirements and the plants' size requirements is going to be more expensive than I'm happy with. That is how these things work. *unhappy noises*)

11. Amended my tax return, because it occurred to me that if I was going to contribute to my IRA for 2016 (which I am), that probably qualified me for the retirement savings contributions credit (though not a reduction in my AGI, since I have a Roth rather than a traditional IRA), and lo and behold, it did. So I got that printed and mailed, and at some point this spring or summer the IRS will send me a check for the difference between my original refund and my amended refund.

12. Bought groceries! I now have (or at least think I have) all the supplies necessary for my planned cooking experiment... which will be happening on Sunday, because that is my next free evening. I should probably google some recipes for things similar to what I'm trying to do, which is basically spinach, cheese, and garlic filling in crescent rolls -- sort of like what you can get as a side at some pizzerias.

13. Stewardship committee meeting. We reviewed the results of our phone calls and did a bunch of minor last-minute planning stuff for our community dinner on Saturday. Hopefully that will go well!

14. Emailed the church office administrator about some member database errors I ran into while making phone calls.

15. Reconciled my credit card statements with my receipts, and paid my credit card bills.

16. Paid my April health insurance bill.

17. Gave blood! \o/ It took me three and a half months to get my health and my schedule aligned, but by gum, I finally managed it. :DDDDD

18. Did a preliminary read-through of the Small Fandom Big Bang fic I am editing. I will try to go through and leave actual comments tomorrow night.

And now, I think, to bed.
