Mothers Day

So today is the day of celebration. And that's what it is. It's a day of rememberance for me of a woman who began to shape me into the woman I am today. She taught me many things, most set by example. She taught me that through love, most (if not all) barriers can be broken down. Confidence is the most faked element of living, but it's also the easiest to grasp. Failing is a part of being human, and through our faults we make up a path through life that brings us closer to the human spirit. Hope is the rarest of elements, and the most widely mocked. But hope is what keeps us knowing that our life is wrought with meaning, and pushes us forward each day.
The most important thing my mother taught me is to put my heart and soul into something that I believed in. To always stand up for those who are unable to do it for themselves. To always say exactly what you mean, but to learn to be diplomatic in your approach. And when all else fails, common sense is the most reliable trait of the human body.
I love my mother without fail...and to this day there isn't a moment I don't wonder what she would be like, how she would be living, or even if we would be friends as well as family. But I do know this, everything I do (with the exception of the stupid stunts I pull) is to make her proud to know that I'm her daughter.
