I still have-a the pneumonia, it's pretty violent. I've been trying to break a fever for a few days, but it seems impossible. I sleep...for large amounts of time. I slept through my birthday yesterday. I wish I was kidding. My most pathetic birthday yet.
A friend of mine left me a recording of himself singing Happy Birthday to me in my email, it made me cry. I had to remind everyone else that I was in fact a year older, and he had put a lot of thought into his gift to me. He's a professional musician, and put together his own little rendition.
I recieved a phone call late at night from a close friend up north, wishing me a good day. He had trekked from the worksite he was at to find a satellite phone to wish me good tidings. I appreciate things like that. I know it was out of his way and he was busy, but he called anyway.
The Columbia Records guy actually remembered my birthday as well. He came in the day before to drop off my present. He recalled that I liked the new single from Five For Fighting...so he brought me their newest cd. And he knows that I think Harry Connick Jr. is cute, so I also have his new cd. I realize the guy gets paid to make an impression so my company will carry their artists, but it was thoughtful.
And now I go back to bed.
I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you're wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you're on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
