Castiel looks down at Dean like a shepherd observing some wayward sheep, if the sheep had enough brains to understand the disapproving look. Dean is tied up, hands secured to the bed. He shivers under the touch of Castiel's eyes. He looks anywhere but at Castiel, anywhere but above him at the mirrored ceiling. Castiel does not move or speak, and Dean squirms, biting his lip. "Castiel," he says, his voice cracking a little.
"Dean," Castiel says. Dean shudders again and slowly, slowly, raises his eyes to Castiel's face. "Good," Castiel says, then. He takes a step closer to the bed, just one, and Dean moves as if to push up, as if to arch his body up in offering. Castiel does not even seem to notice. "You need a master, don't you, Dean? You like to say that there's no such thing as destiny, that you're no one's bitch, that you won't just roll over for us. But you need it, don't you?"
Dean's lips move, but no sound comes out. Castiel takes another step closer.
"Say yes, Dean."
Dean closes his eyes again. Castiel does not move, does not touch him, but simply waits.
"This isn't fair," Dean says, and his voice cracks again. His cheeks are flushed, shame and want. "Using this against me. I haven't -- when I -- "
"You haven't done this since hell."
Dean turns his face away.
"It's alright, Dean," Castiel says, and the power of his voice makes shivers run through Dean's body again. "This is alright. What you learned in hell, what you learned about yourself, not all of it is wrong. You can have this much. Say yes."
It takes a moment, but Castiel can see it happening -- the slow relaxation of every muscle, the gradual unfurling of Dean's fingers from fists, the moment his jaw unclenches. It is still not a yes, but it is a beginning.
