He'd never expected Laguna to get it. He didn't mind, really. He couldn't say that he'd been entirely happy to see Laguna with Julia, first, or later, with Raine, but at the same time he hadn't been unhappy. He'd had his friend, and that was -- surprisingly -- good enough.
He hadn't expected Laguna to figure out his feelings and so he was more or less floored -- or, at least, he staggered back against the wall and leaned there with his legs feeling rather shaky -- when Laguna actually kissed him.
He was less surprised when Laguna pulled away, cursing and rubbing at his leg. "Cramp," he said, smiling that goofy apologetic smile of his.
Kiros really didn't mind -- not the time Laguna had taken to get this far, or the fact that the kiss had been so tragically cut short. Surprised he might have been, but short on brains he wasn't. He was going to hold onto this new development, push it further, for all he was worth.
