Ellone smiles at Laguna. She's used to that: smiling so he doesn't know what she's thinking. As a matter of fact, she hates it. She was happy in Garden and then she had to go, she was happy on the ship with the wind in her hair and the salt-taste on her lips, but she's not there now. "It's a wonderful place, but I'm still getting lost."
"That's alright," he says, with one of his infectious grins, "me too."
She decides, right then and there, that it doesn't matter where you are. Just who you're with.
