Summary: Cecil observes Baron in autumn. For mount_ordeals.
Autumn has come early. Cecil thinks it makes Baron more beautiful: the leaves red and brown and gold, warming the sight of the cold pale stones, softening the sharp edges. The chill of winter is coming, of course, and spring will be even more beautiful, when the leaves soften the bare branches of trees, bringing life after the long cold. And then there'll be flowers, of course, flowers for young girls to gather and put in vases.
Baron is, of course, beautiful in all seasons. But still, a lovely memory of childhood and wading through dry, crackling leaves resurfaces in autumn.
