Rosa had to laugh at Palom's wicked expression, as well as the childlike innocence he adopted with the singsong voice. Porom blushed furiously, of course, so Rosa stifled laughter swiftly and raised an eyebrow at Palom. "And why do you feel the need to tell me that?"
"She wants to steal him!"
"I do not!"
Rosa smiled at her supposed rival, sharing that look which eons of women have perfected. Aren't men idiots? "Of course she does, Palom," Rosa said, airily, "who wouldn't? I'm sure you do, too."
"I -- " Palom started spluttering.
They shared triumphant, amused glances then.
